The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken

Book review by Cassia Ashen

OK! I am finally getting around to writing this review!
Well. If I had to sum the whole book up in a sentence, I'd say.......
The plot had more holes than Swiss cheese.
Now I'm sorry, But I really, REALLY wanted to love this book, and what with so many other people loving it, and the film adaption coming soon, I thought I would... But nope.
I just could not get into it.
Now I was totally willing to COMPLETELY overlook the seemingly half-ass writing,
(*cough* Divergent *cough*) but there were just too many other elements that I didn't like... For example; 95% of the time I didn't even understand what the hell was going on, or why the characters did anything they did! Ugh. It was really quite frustrating to be honest. Like how you're just supposed to figure out the colors all on your own with little to no help from the author, ALSO. I don't understand how this whole "Dystopian" world works, basically nothing is explained the whole book. It's taking "Show, Don't tell." To A.Whole.New.Level.

Also there is a "love triangle"......Need I say more?
Hrm. Well. Thank you very much for sticking with me through my indecipherable raving. lol, Kudos to you. And as a reward I suppose I COULD note a few things that I DID like.
1) Chubs.
2) Chubs.
3) Chubs.

Thank you and Goodnight! *drops mic*
