I reeeeeaaaallllllyyy, REEEEEEEAAAAAAALLLLLYYY wish Rae Carson wouldn't have decided to make this a trilogy.
Walk On Earth A Stranger? It waaay over-exceeded my expectations, and I loved it!
But this one? It really just wasn't doing it for me...
Here's a list of pros and cons/likes and dislikes/ stuff I enjoyed and crap I want to complain about.....(I'll just stop.)
PROS.
1) It seemed well researched, I got sucked into it, and I DID enjoy time traveling back into the 1850's.
2) The main characters were realistic, flawed and believable.
CONS.
1) I felt that if Rae would have wrapped up a few loose ends in the ending of Walk On Earth;
a second, Much less a THIRD book would be unnecessary.
2) The plot was unimaginative, and it seemed like Rae rushed it because of deadlines...
3) There was nothing original about this book. My main feeling throughout the whole book was just; been here done this.
So yeah. I'm kinda disappointed with this second installment.
I AM gonna read the last book in the trilogy, but let's just say my expectations have shrank 50%.
